Learning How to Improve English with Students’ Own Strengths

Learning English, to some, sounds elementary.  To others, it’s a struggle, mired with a fuzzy mix of words and an intimacy with self-esteem.  This is nothing new, as people often poke people for their lack in this and that.

But for an accomplished learner, who wants to share the acquisition, how should this question be met, “How to Improve English?”

Answer:  One could precede best by utilising their own inherent interests: reading or writing.  For students who perform well in the writing department, then perhaps, improvement will work by penning gazillion of written pieces.  However, students should also work on looking for a good partner who will be tasked to carry the role of proofreading and assisting students in their corrections.

For the other student, whose best bet is reading, improvement probably would happen by way of reading several good English pieces.  Students should first opt for the reads that are primer or basic; then may move to another level of English read, if their learning partner says ‘go!’  This partner, by the way, has to be attentive as there’s this need for constant communication to affirm or clarify the comprehension of contexts.
These options of solving the How to Improve English-conundrum are invaluable techniques.  It permits students to align their strengths to that of the required discipline.  This holds them at an advantage and invigorates their enthusiasm for improving and learning in the process.

The how-question in the ‘How to Improve English’ denotes the hunger for methods.  Perhaps, more methods are out there, waiting to be discovered.  At this rate, students should properly communicate to their tutors there need for such techniques.  In return, teachers will be too happy to help as it gladdens them to encounter dutiful students.  Together with a supporting academe, improvement is no longer far.
